Meet The Team

Victoria is the owner and lead trainer at From The Heart Dog Services. She specializes in helping dogs and their owners build clearer, calmer, and more stable relationships through structure, consistency, and effective communication.

Her passion for dog training began with her beloved dog Maggie, who was diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy. This experience sparked a deep dive into canine health, behavior, and well-being. What started as a personal commitment quickly grew into a mission to support other owners who felt overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to help their dogs.

Victoria has immersed herself in extensive study and hands-on learning, including workshops, training programs, and the Learn to Lead program with Cheri Wolf Lucas. She combines this knowledge with real-world experience to understand how dogs think, process their environment, and respond to calm, consistent leadership.

She works with dogs struggling with anxiety, reactivity, overexcitement, and other behavioral challenges. Rather than focusing solely on obedience, Victoria helps dogs learn to slow down, self-regulate, and navigate life with greater calm and confidence. Just as importantly, she partners closely with owners — equipping them with the understanding, tools, and consistency they need to feel confident and capable at home.

Clients often arrive feeling frustrated and uncertain. They leave with practical strategies, a clearer understanding of their dog, and a more balanced, relaxed companion that is easier to live with. Victoria’s approach emphasizes real, lasting change rather than quick fixes.

With a background in Business Management and an MBA, Victoria has built From The Heart Dog Services into a thoughtful, structured program. She remains hands-on with both the dogs and her team, ensuring every aspect reflects consistency, follow-through, and purpose.

Outside of client work, Victoria continues training and living with her own dogs, Kaia and Finley. They are a constant presence in her daily life and content, serving as living examples of the structure, clarity, and calm expectations she brings to every dog in her program.

For as long as she can remember, Abby has always wanted to work with animals. Growing up with a dog by her side brought her constant joy and sparked a passion that stayed with her over the years. That passion deepened as she worked through challenges with her own fearful and reactive dog, giving her firsthand experience in understanding canine behavior and the importance of patience, trust, and clear
communication.

While attending Michigan State University, where she earned her degree in Zoology, Abby further developed her knowledge by studying animal behavior, strengthening her understanding of why dogs think and act the way they do. After graduating, Abby set out to find a path that would allow her to turn that passion into a career, and she found that opportunity at From The Heart.

Since joining the team, Abby has fallen in love with training and helping dogs improve their mental well-being. Her dedication to supporting both dogs and their owners continues to grow as she works to build stronger, more confident relationships every day.
