TRAINER
Victoria Eisenmenger
Head Trainer with From The Heart Dog Services
Driven by her deep love and determination, Victoria embarked on a journey of education and discovery. She delved into the realms of nutrition, behavior, communication, and socialization, seeking to understand how she could enhance the lives of dogs, their families, and rescues. Attending various workshops and training courses, including the transformative Learn to Lead program with Cheri Wolf Lucas, Victoria honed her skills in assessing dog behavior and implementing effective techniques and strategies to foster healthy relationships between dogs and their human companions.
Some of the things we will cover:
Leash, crate, & place: This is the pillar for the relationship between you & your dog. They allow you to control your dog in all situations and help them to become neutral to things around them.
Impulse control: Teaching your dog impulse control will help achieve the goal of neutrality in all environments and have a large impact on behavior overall
Play Sessions: We will go over how to make the most of your play sessions with your dog! Connecting with your dog during play will strengthen your relationship and help build relevancy during times of excitement!
Body Language: Dogs communicate through body language, they do not have a verbal language. We will go over reading your dog, other dogs, and how your dogs interprets your body language.
E collar: Incorporating the use of an e-collar opens up a whole new world of freedom for you and your dog when used correctly! We will review the proper use of the e collar for those who are interested in it or currently use it!
Calmness: We will go over the importance of instilling calmness in your dog and why its important to teach your dog how to deal with boredom in a constructive way. We strive to “Calmness in the midst of chaos” which allows us to bring our dogs into multiple situations with ease.
Relationship: We will review how to build a strong respectful relationship with your dog.
Behavioral issues: We will be able to address any behaviors that arise during the workshop and help you work through them. Examples: reactivity, resource guarding, separation anxiety, excessive barking, jumping, aggression etc.
Activities: We will review different activities you & your dog can do together and how to properly teach/prepare for them! Such as biking or hikes etc.
